StillHere is a small, anonymous mental-health space — a community feed of stories, a kind ai listener, and the gentlest moderation we can manage. it's free to use. it's a solo project, not a company.

it is not a substitute for therapy, medicine, or emergency services. it is a place to feel less alone.

by creating an account, posting, commenting, or even just browsing, you agree to follow these terms and our community guidelines. if you can't agree, please don't use the site.

• you must be at least 16 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher).
• we set 16+ because stories here often touch on heavy topics — grief, depression, trauma — and adult language is common.
• if you're 13–15, you may read with a trusted adult, but please don't post or sign up.
• if you're under 18, please use the site with care and tell a trusted adult if anything feels off.
• you may not use the site if a previous account was banned for serious violations.

• pick a handle and a password. that's the entire signup. don't share your password.
• you are responsible for everything posted from your account.
• you can delete the account whenever — from edit profile → delete account. it removes your profile data; if you also delete all your posts first, that content goes too.
• we may delete an account that violates rules (see section 09).

your posts and comments are yours. you keep all rights to them.

what you grant us

by posting here you give StillHere a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to store, display, and back up your content — only for the purpose of running the site. nothing more. we don't use your content for marketing, fine-tuning models, or anything outside the site.

what we don't do

• we don't sell your content.
• we don't train AI on your content.
• we don't repost it elsewhere.

when a post is tagged "no advice", the author is asking only for presence — not suggestions, not therapy recommendations, not "have you tried…". replies that ignore this tag may be removed.

the ai companion also has a no-advice toggle that switches its tone from a gentle helper to a quiet listener. it doesn't keep notes between sessions.

by using the site you understand that other users are peers, not professionals. their stories and replies are their personal experiences — not medical advice.

we moderate. that means:

• posts and comments pass a basic automated check at submit time.
• users can report content; we review reports — usually within 24 hours.
• content that breaks the guidelines gets removed.
• serious or repeated violations lead to account suspension or ban. some violations are zero-tolerance.
• to enforce a temporary block, we store your request IP and a random browser identifier on the post or comment you submit. these are only consulted when a moderator pauses someone — they are not used for tracking. full detail in the privacy policy.
• if you think we got it wrong, appeal by emailing hello@stillhere.app.

• you can leave anytime — delete your account from edit profile.
• we can terminate an account that violates these terms or the guidelines.
• we may stop operating StillHere if the project is no longer sustainable; we'll give as much warning as possible and offer data export.

StillHere is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. we do our best, but we cannot guarantee the site will be available, error-free, or that any content here is accurate, complete, or healing.

to the maximum extent permitted by law, StillHere and its operator(s) are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. this includes content posted by other users.

nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. gross negligence, willful misconduct).

if we update these terms materially, we'll post a notice on the updates page and bump the version number above. continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
